A non-governmental Youth and Students Organization, the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) which was founded in 1972.Member of the UN NGOs.It defines itself as "an independent organization and Islamic forum that supports the work of Muslim organizations and needy communities the world over". While WAMY's international headquarters are located in Saudi Arabia, the organization also maintains satellite chapters in 56 additional countries and is affiliated with some 500 other Muslim youth /Students organization on five continents.

What is NZ- MYO ?
An educational competition held among youth teams of Muslim communities in various Islamic centers and institutes throughout the region of New Zealand, in which young people between the ages of 13 and 30 participate.


 The competition contributes to connecting young people with the Holy Qur’an and Islamic culture, encouraging them to scientific research on social youth issues, and developing the spirit of teamwork in An atmosphere of competition and a lot of excitement.

The Holy Quran and Adhan

Juz Amma The jury tests the participating team by asking the team about memorizing Juz Amma, another question about recitation, and a test about the call to prayer. Three different questions, and the team answers one after the other. One member recites the memorization, the other recites, and the third recites the call to prayer, and the grade is monitored based on the team’s performance.

Islamic culture test

3) members of each team take an Islamic culture test. The test consists of general questions related to a group of rulings related to worship, faith, and transactions that a Muslim cannot be ignorant of. Their scores are then recorded as a part of the Olympia stages. Here is a link to a set of questions with answers from which the test will be. The test consists of 40 questions and the duration of the test is 50 minutes.

Innovative projects

Each team develops a project (a new idea - creative solution / ICT Integration) related to the MYO theme of the year. Team members will then have (7) minutes to showcase their project before a group of judges. A project should depend on scientific research, feasibility study, opinion poll, or questionnaire for at least 7 people . Examples of projects:Creating a vedio game for youngs, awareness Campaign via social media ,Program for children in schools etc

Theatrical Performance

Each team prepares for a theatrical performance in English that is related to the MYO theme of the year. Teams will perform for (7) minutes before a group of judges.

Teamwork

Teamwork performance will be evaluated while team members present their work on the MYO topics (Project, Community Service, Theatrical Performance). Judges will fill out a designated form to measure the teams' communication, cooperation, and the steps followed to complete their work according to predetermined standards.
